Battlefield 3 Rumour 1 - EA are considering going back to World War II for Battlefield 3 and with a new graphics engine. Basically EA feel they have nowhere to go with moving forward with Battlefield 2.
Battlefield 3 Rumour 2 - EA rumour is that they will be porting the Battlefield 2 engine or the next version Battlefield 3 for a sci-fi shooter along the lines of a Halo, or something like that.
Battlefield 3 Rumour 3 - Battlefield 3 will be set in the modern day like Battlefield 2, with an emphasis on Middle Eastern settings and support for up to 40 players per team on eight different maps. Each of Battlefield 3 two factions will have access to its own assortment of 24 different vehicles and 17 different weapons. The game might feature unlockable equipment, customizable characters, and in game replay functionality.
Battlefield 3 is not ment to launch until the end of next year 08, its possible the Battlefield 3 beta may arrive in the summer. The leaked information suggests that the game will only be released for Windows Vista PCs and the Mac’s OS X, with Windows XP users left out in the cold.
